This course is designed to introduce the complete beginner to cruising. You will learn about personal safety, seamanship and helmsmanship to the level required to be a useful member of the crew of a cruising yacht.

You'll learn on a 24′ Eliote with tiller-steering and outboard engine for auxiliary power.

PRE – REQUISITES: Minimum Age – 18+ | No prior experience needed

DURATION: Approximately 15 hours split over 5 sessions (3 hours/ session) nonconsecutively.

Course Schedule:

• The Fall Course (First course in the season): Every consecutive Saturday, starting 25 October and ending 22 November.

• Winter Course: 5 consecutive Saturdays starting 10 January

• Ramadan Course: Will be during Ramadan – timings will be adjusted and announced soon.

• Spring Course: Every consecutive Saturday, starting 28 March and ending 25 April.

Group courses cannot be rescheduled, and punctuality is essential. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the missed briefing will not be repeated, and the boat may have already left the marina. Missed sessions due to late arrival or no-shows are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled or credited. Please plan accordingly and arrive on time to ensure you don’t miss your session.
