The fourth flagship release in Bardstown Bourbon Company's Origins release, High Wheat is distilled from a mash bill of 53% corn, a whopping 39% wheat, and 8% malted barley and aged for at least six years before bottling at 106 proof.  The nose offers scents of creme brulee with apricot, lemon, and a hint of peppery oak.  On the palate, flavors of fresh baked pastry and fruit jam give way to baking spices and sweet oak.  The sweet oak lingers through a medium finish where it is joined by maple, candied orange, and black pepper.
