This is a terrific hand-thrown studio pottery bowl glazed with a grayish cream slip and decorated with wonderful large roundish dark blue spots. I love the irregularity of the blue circles- sometimes overlapping, other times widely spaced, and on one side some of the blue bleeds into the cream. This would make a great vase or planter--really a lovely piece. 

It is signed on the bottom with what looks like "SJ" and is in great vintage condition. Note there is some reflection visible in the photos. The bowl measures 3 3/4" tall x 5 1/2" at widest diameter, with an opening of 4" across at lip and 3 3/4" diameter at base.
