Pirouette Dark demerara sugar is a golden brown sugar with large homogeneous sparkling crystals, a crunchy, sticky texture, and a rich aroma owing to the presence of cane molasses enrobing each crystal. It has a distinctive flavor and is ideal for sweetening coffee and as a crunchy topping for cakes as well as fruits. The product is made from cane juice by a natural process i.e. without chemicals or additives.

Unrefined sugar tends to form lumps due to compaction. To revert to a crystal appearance, break it apart by hand or with a pestle. Lumps due to compaction do not impact product quality or taste profile.
