"BIRCH TREES" -Photograph of crystalline acetaminophen and salicylic acid"Birch Trees" evokes the familiar, soothing patterns of the forest. It was created by co crystallizing acetaminophen crystals, found in Tylenol, and salicylic acid crystals, found in aspirin. The crystals were grown by evaporation on a microscope slide and photographed through a microscope. The crystal facets create the colors naturally by refraction of the transmitted light through the prism like crystals.
