Born as the natural evolution of the Quai des Bergues and the Antarctique lines, the Promenade collection represents Czapek's vision for the future of high-end watchmaking: refined, sleek, playful and powerful.

The Czapek Promenade Midnight Pearl explores a mysterious aesthetic, evoking the sensation of gazing into a star-filled night sky. Its dial, created in partnership with GT Cadrans, combines deep blue brilliance with subtle iridescent undertones, creating an impression of infinite depth beneath the surface. Light interacts with the materials in complex ways, producing a shifting constellation-like sparkle. This atmospheric effect gives the watch a refined, almost meditative presence, transforming the passage of time into a visual experience reminiscent of midnight reflected on still water.

This remarkable appearance is achieved through a patented sandwich construction that unites Tahitian mother-of-pearl with aventurine glass. The nacre foundation, selected for its grey tone and natural violet-green reflections, is thinned to roughly 0.2 mm and overlaid with an equally thin sheet of blue aventurine. Embedded metallic particles within the glass create a fine, star-like shimmer. Together, the layers produce a dial measuring only about 0.4 mm thick, yet possessing extraordinary visual richness and complexity.

Powering this Promenade watch, Czapek looks to its signature Calibre SXH5, which has evolved to better suit the case architecture and dial aesthetics of the Promenade collection – another example of the Maison’s “Beauty above all” approach, positioning the small seconds mechanism now directly beneath, and on the same axis as the dial display. 

Immediately recognisable by the seven skeletonised bridges that hold the gear train in place – inspired by the 19th-century pocket watches of François Czapek – the movement plates and bridges feature fine haute horlogerie finishes, including bevelling, straight-grained sides and hand-chamfered inward angles. Beating at 4Hz (28,800 vph) and wound by a micro rotor with a mass of 100% recycled platinum, SXH5 offers 60 hours of power reserve.
