Mexican artisan J. Blas creates beautiful wall art using a plasma blowtorch to cut sheets of sheet into unique forms, with his workshop being the first in the Tonalá area to do so. Here he uses this technique to conjure an image of lazy days spent beneath the shade of palm trees on a faraway beach. After the shapes are cut, he molds the wall hanging with a mallet, then cleans and polishes it, and finally paints it in shades of brown and green. A round hook on the back facilitates hanging the piece.
