This lovely heart shape yellow gold, diamond and ruby love charm pendant features a rebus spelling out the love sentiment: "Plus qu‘hier, moins que demain" ("More than yesterday, less than tomorrow") - a line taken from the love poem written by Rosemonde Gerard to her husband (the author of Cyrano) in 1889.

This is a mid-century token created by Alphonse Augis in response to Gerard's poem, signed Augis, and stamped with the eagle head signifying French manufacture, 18 karat gold and Augis made.
