The Mophead Hydrangea is best kept in moist but well aerated soil that allows for plenty of water drainage. The best spot for it would be one where the plant is somewhat sheltered from wind gusts if there are any, and gets plenty of sunlight. A few hours a day is enough but the more the better. Prune the heads of this plant in spring and you'll get even bigger, better looking flowers. Hydrangeas are definitely among the thirstier plants out there so be sure to water frequently (at least twice a week in spring and summer). A bit of fertilizer twice a month in spring and summer and you'll check all the boxes!
