Ribera del Duero sits further inland and tends to produce darker, bolder and more powerful expressions of Tempranillo, with a bit more depth and structure. Blackberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry, with a touch of vanilla and sweet spice from barrel ageing. Full bodied, warming and nicely balanced, but still smooth and approachable. Great with tapas, grilled meats, or anything coming off the barbecue.
