A true spirits nerd bottle, Cobrafire is distilled by Domaine d'Esperance in the Armagnac region of France from the Folle Blanche and Baco grape varietals. The folks at PM spirits felt this distillate expressed itself more like a “grape eau-de-vie” than an “unaged Armagnac” (which it technically is), hence they shunned the “Blanche d’Armagnac” appellation and had it bottled as an “eau-de-vie de raisin”. After distillation, the distillate is rested in stainless steel tanks for three months to allow the harsher aromas to fully evaporate before bottling at a full still strength of 50.5% abv.
