In 1954, the Conquest collection became the first Longines watch line to have its name protected by the Federal Intellectual Property Office in Berne, Switzerland. From its inception, the Conquest line was a hallmark for sleek, mid-century modern design, and its automatic and water-resistant characteristics (look for the signature enamel fish on the caseback denoting these special water-resistant watches) made it synonymous with noteworthy achievement.
