These nickel spurs have short "Prince of Wales" downward turning necks with squared off ends.
Each spur has a small many pointed steel rowel, these no longer turn.
They are asymmetric, the outer arm of the heel band is longer than the inner.
They have have steel studs on the end of each arm of the heel band. These would have originally been nickel plated, but the plating has worn away and the surface of the underlying steel is dark.
A rounded steel buckle is suspended from the outer stud of each spur.
The inside of each spur is stamped "Maxwell, Dover St., London".
