About the Author

David Wurfel is Professor of Political Science at the University of Windsor, Ontario. A graduate of San Diego State University, he received his M.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and Ph.D. from Cornell University. The editor of Meiji Japan's Centennial: Aspects of Political Thought and Action (1971), he has published articles in several multi-contributor volumes.
