The label on this says 10 years old however the secret to its opulent complexity comes from Quinta da Silvera blending this fortified wine from tawny barrels that are up to 70 years old!

Everything that this 6th generation family producer does is about tapping into the time honoured tradition of port production in the Douro Valley with Manuel Maria Martinho now running the winery alongside winemaker Rodrigo Martins. 

They use classical methods including grapes crushed by feet and fermented in traditional open tanks known as ‘lagares’ and are signed up to sustainable pact to protect the art of port and its unique vineyards for future generations to come.

This truly special tawny is a fitting tipple to enjoy with friends and family this festive session and beyond!
