- The Black Mineral Oil doesn’t bleed, but because is a very dark tone it will leave a marble effect to your lava solution.
If you want a lighter tone you can add extra clear mineral oil or baby oil and mixing well until well combined.

The bottle of 250ml its enough for 3-5 lava flow drip using 24oz SnowGlobe Tumbler.
It's recommended to use 50-100 ml (less or more it’s up to you) of the Lava Flow solution to a 24oz Acrylic Snow Globe Tumbler.
ALWAYS ADD YOUR DECAL/WRAP FIRST TO YOUR CUP/SNOWGLOBE TUMBLER, BEFORE TO ADD MINERAL OIL or BABY OIL!
You need add first to the snow globe tumble the Mineral Oil or Baby Oil, then the Lava Flow.
-If you’re applying a decal or UV DTF wrap, do this before adding any liquids.
- Choose your glitter ( pigment )
- Chunky glitter will flow through both the Lava and Mineral Oil.
- Fine glitter will mostly stay within the Mineral Oil layer.
-
Add Mineral Oil – First Layer - Fill around 1/2 of tumbler with mineral oil. (Optional: Colour the oil using oil-based food coloring - Note: the coloured mineral/baby oil it will start bleeding into the lava in time .) We recommend using a squeeze bottle for the mineral oil .
-
Coat the Inside Walls - Gently tilt and spin the tumbler few times to coat the inner wall with oil.
-
Add Glitter (optional) - Pour in your chosen glitter ( recommended 1/2-1tsp )directly into the tumbler and slowly shake/rotate the tumbler so that way the glitter to be evenly spread and mixed into mineral oil.
-
Add Lava Flow Drip - Shake bottle well. Add around 50 -80ml of Lava Flow Drip directly into the tumbler.
-
Top Up with Mineral Oil - Slowly fill the rest of the tumbler with mineral oil, stopping just before the fill hole is full.
-
You don’t need to leave room for the stopper to be inserted without overflow. I RECOMMEND to fill all the way up for the best flowing lava effect and for the best results. If you leave a small air bubble ( the air bubble will increase the flow of lava and can create air bubbles)
-
🔒 Sealing the Stopper Properly
- Clean Thoroughly
- Wash around the stopper and fill hole area with cold water and washing-up liquid.
- Rinse well to remove all oil traces.
- Wipe the area with isopropyl alcohol to remove any remaining residue.
- Sand the Stopper Area
- Lightly sand around the stopper and fill hole to help the resin bond.
- Seal with Resin
- Once dry, apply UV resin or epoxy resin to seal the stopper securely.
- Gently turn the tumbler upside down and upright a few times to allow the Lava effect to start flowing.
- Do NOT shake—shaking can cause air bubbles and break the lava formation.
💤 If Not Used for a While:
- If your tumbler has been sitting unused for a few days, gently flip it up and down about 10 times to reactivate the lava flow.
-
We recommend to flip your tumbler every 1 day or at least every 2 days so in this way the lava is still flowing beautifully.
-
Please note:
- - the solid colour are created with acrylic paint and the paint it will settled over time to the bottom if the cup is not used/flipped every day. But reactivate by flipped few times the cup.
- - the transparent colour are created with gel colours - it will not settle down the colour
- - the shimmering effect is created with powder pigments/mica powder and it will settle at the bottom, but reactivate by flipped few times the cup.
- Wash only with cold water and mild soap
- Avoid hot water, dishwashers, and harsh scrubbing
“Important Notes on Tumbler Compatibility”
⚠️ Tumbler Compatibility Matters
For the best results with our Snow Globe Lava Flow Solutions, we recommend using high-quality 24oz acrylic tumblers with generous space between the inner and outer walls.
❗ Tumblers with a tight wall gap can restrict movement, causing the lava or glitter to appear stuck or sluggish. This is not due to the solution itself — but due to the physical limitation of the tumbler design.
Important !! Our solutions have been tested across various tumbler types, including acrylic and glass. While glass tumblers may create very faster flows (we don't recommend using our Lava Solution in a glass snow globe tumbler) , the lava effect is most beautifully showcased in 24oz acrylic tumblers with proper spacing and quality seals.
✅ For best results, we recommend:
- 24oz acrylic tumblers with ample wall space
- A tight-fitting stopper or proper sealing method
- A clean inner wall (to avoid paint or glitter adhesion over time)
✨ We’re always here to help guide you to the right materials so your creations match the beautiful flow we demonstrate.
