Just a gorgeous Japanese platter, dating to the late 20th century I believe. Beautifully made and very substantial, it has a wonderful stony texture and expressionistic slip decoration in grayish white. The perfect size to use for serving, to keep on the counter holding fruit and the like, or just for display. Really lovely.

There is one very very tiny chip around the lip of the platter, barely noticeable; otherwise the piece is in perfect condition. It measures 11 1/4" across and 2 5/8" tall. Not signed as far as I can tell.
