Singer Sewing Outlet Extended 12-Year Guarantee

All Singer machines supplied by Singer Sewing Outlet include a 2-year manufacturer guarantee provided by Singer UK. We also offer an extended warranty directly with Singer Sewing Outlet, giving you up to 12 years of total cover for your machine.

Domestic use only: This warranty applies to machines used in a home environment and does not cover commercial or trade use.

Please keep the original packaging (outer box and polystyrene inserts) so your machine can be safely transported if it requires repair or service.

Servicing requirement: To remain valid, your machine must be serviced every two years at Singer Sewing Outlet's service centre. Standard service charges apply. We may send you a reminder up to once a year.

Coverage

This extended warranty covers Singer domestic sewing machines sold in the United Kingdom by Singer Sewing Outlet. Defects arising from faulty materials or workmanship will be repaired free of charge. If repair is not practical or economical, Singer Sewing Outlet or Singer UK reserves the right to replace the machine with the same or a comparable model. Liability for consequential damages, whether direct or indirect, is excluded.

Duration

The extended warranty is valid for an additional 10 years after the expiry of the standard 2-year Singer guarantee, giving a total of 12 years’ cover from the date of purchase.

Exclusions

This warranty does not apply in the following cases:

• Servicing or repairs carried out by non-Singer authorised engineers or using non-Singer parts.
• Use for profit, trade, or outside normal domestic circumstances.
• Use on an incorrect supply circuit or voltage.
• Parts requiring replacement due to normal wear and tear, or damage caused by negligence or misuse.
• Failure to fit or fuse the plug in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
• Consumables such as needles, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle plates, belts, light bulbs, and needle threaders.
• Transportation, carriage, and redelivery costs.
• Products purchased second-hand.
• Adjustments and maintenance that are the customer’s responsibility (including timing adjustments).
• Any damage caused by not following the instruction manual, or by accidental or deliberate misuse.
• Computerised components and circuit boards are excluded from cover, though labour to fit parts will be covered for the full warranty period.
• Machines that have not been serviced within the last 2 years at an approved Singer Sewing Outlet service centre.

How to Claim

If your Singer machine requires repair under this warranty, please return it with proof of purchase:

• Within 2 years of purchase: Singer UK, Fortran Road, St Mellons, Cardiff, CF3 0WJ.
• After 2 years of purchase: Singer Sewing Outlet, Unit 15, Sunderland Estate, Church Lane, Kings Langley, WD4 8JU.

Important Notes

This extended warranty is offered directly by Singer Sewing Outlet and applies only to domestic sewing machines and overlockers purchased from Singer Sewing Outlet. It is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. It does not affect your statutory rights.
