Age spots on the skin, also called liver spots, usually appear on sun-exposed areas of the body. Liver spots are flat, yellowish-brown spots that look like large freckles. The causes of liver spots include aging, chronic sun exposure, skin type and hereditary disposition. The body's metabolism changes as we age, and the liver may not be able to rid the body of all toxins, which can cause spots to occur. The most common places for liver spots are areas that have the greatest sun exposure, such as the face, back of hands, forearms, forehead and shoulders. They take decades to form.

Rose geranium – Helps normalize sebum in the skin and helps diminish age spots while keeping skin elastic. Improves blood circulation where it is applied. Excellent anti-aging essential oil.
