Among the truly iconic nautical lamps, the fluted cargo lamp, designed and crafted to perform in the harshest conditions, a great example of how pure function results in beautiful form, so ‘marine’. Designed in the 1920’s and used on early British built ocean liners & cargo ships as well as on the gantries of famous shipbuilders like Harland & Wolff and Swan Hunter.

We have had to have these lights made these days due to the scarcity of the originals cargo lights that come from very old vessels. we commission these exact remakes to be made in short runs by by expert metal workers, with no compromise and no expense spared in order to ensure the same quality & charm of the originals. Sustainability is important to us which is why we make our remakes in metals that we source from the same scrapped ships that we salvage fittings and fixtures from.
