Perhaps the biggest change in the new Willett lineup, which had largely been sourced from other Kentucky distilleries, but is now enitrely distilled, aged, and bottled by the Willett distillery, this dramatically bottled Pot Still Reserve is now a wheated bourbon, replacing the customary secondary grain of rye with the softer character of wheat. The result is round, creamy whiskey that gives initial impressions of a buttered hawaiian roll. Mirabelle plum, cinnamon sugar, lightly salted honeydew melon, and fresh baked bread follow gently, with none stealing the show. Bottled at 47% abv.
