A very unusual flask, this has a silver straw inside the flask which connects to the cap, a band of silver swings over the top of the cap to cover the open end of the straw. It is hallmarked London 1881 and stamped "Patent" with the possible maker's mark of Thomas Johnson.
The mahogany coloured case has a good patina. The case closes with a billet fastening. The lid is domed with incredibly fine stitching around its edge.
