The F1 pack was issued to French soldiers for field exercises and short trips. It's a perfect size for day trips and the rugged construction makes it useful for battling rough weather conditions. Made from a water resistant rubberised canvas material to keep the contents dry and protected - though this exterior coating is worn down on many packs. The 20 liter size is split up into three compartments covered by a top flap. On the back is a pocket and the lightly padded shoulder straps.
