Ripe characters of blueberry and raspberry jam yet uniquely soft with a light anise-spice note. As the wine opens in the glass, the wine exhibits an earthy aromatic, white pepper, and smoky oak character from American oak barrels it is aged in. Very approachable and soft marrying well with a wide range of food types from aged aromatic cheeses to BBQ to sweet and sour pork. Probably best wine in the range to experiment with breaking the "food rules."
