The cutting ability of the file differs for each side, a fine grit on the front side (marked on the grip) and a medium grit on the back side.
Use the fine grit for fine detailing, the medium grit for rough processing, and so on.

Please remove cutting dust frequently to prevent clogging.
In case of severe clogging, soak it in a solvent to dissolve and remove the clogged material.
Since cutting performance is strong, using strong force tends to distort the cutting surface. Please use light force when sanding.
Please do not use a metal brush to remove shavings. It may damage the file grain and reduce the cutting capability.
The file section is steel-made and tends to rust with time. Regular maintenance with rust preventive oil is desirable, as rust reduces cutting capability.
The file is hand-made and may have a few scratches within the range that do not cause any functional problems.
