Upon first taste it is profoundly clear why after nearly a century and a half, Zinfandel vineyards are still being planted throughout Amador County. This wine is full, ripe, rich, and downright big without being out of balance. A foundation of dark berry fruit is built upon with wood tannin and spice. The nose bursts with stewed blackberries and vanilla beans. Intense flavors of blackberry laced with anise, mint, and cracked white pepper slide across your palate leaving a generous smooth mouthfeel.
