Get the most out of your new Singer Sewing Machine.

Our Singer Academy offers a private one to one session with a Singer trained expert, by WhatsApp video call, FaceTime or Zoom. Our Singer expert will walk you through your machine step by step so you feel confident operating it and answer any questions you may have.

Available for all Singer branded sewing machines supplied by Singer Sewing Outlet.

Sessions run daytimes and selected evenings throughout the month, so you can book a time that suits you.

What your session covers

In your session, your Singer expert will guide you through:

• The main features and capabilities of your machine
• Selecting a stitch, plus length, width, tension and other adjustments
• Threading the machine (top thread)
• Using the automatic needle threader (if applicable)
• Winding a bobbin
• Loading the bobbin
• An overview of your standard accessories
• Advice on accessories such as presser feet and needles
• Basic troubleshooting of common setup issues
• Any specific questions or projects you'd like general advice on

It's a relaxed, friendly session - bring your machine, bring your questions.

Your Singer expert will have a machine to hand during your session. The model may differ from yours, but they can demonstrate functions to help if you get stuck at any point.

Please note: This is a hands-on introduction to your machine, not a sewing course. We'll show you how to set up your machine correctly and sew basic stitches so you're confident getting started - but it doesn't cover sewing skills, techniques or project tuition. We can help with common setup issues, but this session isn't a repair or fault-diagnosis service.

What you'll need

To get the most from your session, please have ready:

• Your new sewing machine
• Sewing thread (we recommend Gutermann or another good quality thread)
• Some fabric to practise on - even an old pillowcase will do
• A pair of scissors or thread snips

How it works

1. Buy your session voucher - add it to your order or buy it on its own.
2. Get your booking voucher - after your purchase we'll email you a voucher code and a booking link within 24 hours.
3. Pick your slot - use the link to choose a date and time that suits you, daytime or evening.
4. Join from home - connect by Zoom or WhatsApp video call. All you need is your machine and a phone, tablet or computer.

£29 per session (up to 45 minutes, 1:1 with a Singer expert)

Good to know

Please book your session within 12 months of purchase. Need to rearrange? Just give us at least 24 hours' notice before your session and we'll be happy to move it. Missed appointments, or cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, will be charged at the full rate.

This session is designed for Sewing Machines only. Overlockers and embroidery machines are not included in this offer.
