Rémy Martin Louis XIII Cognac is one of the most celebrated and prestigious expressions in the world of spirits: a true masterpiece of craftsmanship and heritage. Produced by Rémy Martin, a historic French house founded in 1724, Louis XIII is the pinnacle of Fine Champagne cognac, representing centuries of expertise and patience.
Created in 1874 by Paul-Émile Rémy Martin, this extraordinary cognac was named in tribute to King Louis XIII, the monarch who first recognized cognac as a distinct spirit category. Since then, Louis XIII has become synonymous with luxury and exceptional quality.
Louis XIII is crafted exclusively from eaux-de-vie sourced from the Grande Champagne cru, regarded as the premier terroir of the Cognac region. Every decanter contains a blend of up to 1,200 rare eaux-de-vie, each aged between 40 and over 100 years in tierçons tall, slender Limousin-oak casks that allow subtle interaction with air over time.
Appearance:
Deep amber with golden and mahogany reflections, radiant and richly hued.
Nose:
A complex, floral and fruity bouquet with notes of dried roses, honeysuckle, melon, peach, honey and myrrh, accented by delicate spices and gentle oak.
Palate:
Opulent and refined. Layers of candied fruits, passion fruit, fig and prune mingle with subtle wood spices, sandalwood and hints of fig jam, evolving beautifully across the palate.
Finish:
Long, elegant and persistently rich, with lingering floral undertones and a warm spice-infused finale.
