A Syrah made with minimal influence from sustainably grown grapes on a deep volcanic clay, north facing slope in the heart of Matakana.

Bold, ripe red berry fruits with aromas of boysenberries and roasted plums. Baking spices of toasty barrel and stony earthy scents, dry, weighty, fresh and fruity.

Translucent with hues of magenta and ruby. Aromas and flavours of rasberry and cranberry, some light black current layers, then red flowers and candy. Crisp, dry and and taut with fine tannins and plenty of acid to hold the flavours in place and add mouthfeel. An understated, yet vibrante palate, well-made with plenty of length and style.
Best drinking from 2025 through 2029+.
