This is a red wine blend of 67% Cabernet, 26% Cabernet Franc and 7% Merlot. a beautifully composed wine balancing fruit and savouriness. The nose is dominated by dark berry fruits with undertones of dried herbs. The palate is dense yet refined showing beautiful berry fruits and earthy notes. No.17 is persistent and finishes with supple fruit tannins. It is dark garnet red. It has a lifted bouquet; violets and black cherry. A generous palate with luscious dark berry fruits framed by soft supple tannins, giving the wine line and length. Savoury characteristics of chocolate and clove with undertones of dried herbs.

Enjoy this No. 17 with all varieties of red meat — grilled steak, roast pork etc, also great with roasted vegetables, especially things like capsicum, spinach and eggplant. You can never go wrong with peppercorn sauce too!
