HOW IT HELPS YOUR HORSE
Formulated to help address loose manure and GI distress from multiple angles - toxin removal, microbiome support, gastrointestinal cell health, and fluid balance - all in one
Adsorbent bioactive clay aids removal of bacterial toxins
The probiotic Saccharomyces cerevisiae boulardii, a yeast strain supported by research, can be used during/after antibiotic treatment to support a healthy microbial population in your horse’s GI tract
Added prebiotics feed and support the vital equine gut microbiome
L-glutamine, an amino acid and the GI cells’ preferred energy source, supports healing of the digestive tract lining
Chelated electrolytes designed for rapid absorption support proper hydration
HOW TO USE
Administer Equine BioClay 5-in-1 Paste at the first signs of digestive distress, and discontinue when the manure begins returning to normal consistency
Administration rates:
Adult horses: 80-160 cc (1 - 2 tubes) once or twice daily
Weanlings: 40-80 cc (1/2 - 1 tube) once or twice a day
Foals: 20-40 cc (1/4 - 1/2 tube) once or twice a day
Administer slowly into the back of the mouth, allowing the horse to swallow a portion of the serving at a time
When the horse’s manure begins returning to normal we recommend transitioning to Equine Probiotic Paste (for adult horses and weanlings) or Foal Probiotic Paste (for newborn and suckling foals) daily for at least two weeks to further support microbiome recovery
Consult your veterinarian right away regarding digestive distress in horses of any age

How does this formula differ from BioSponge® and Bio-Absorb?
BioSponge and Bio-Adsorb also provide adsorbent dioctahedral smectite clay to support toxin removal from the digestive tract. However, our BioClay5-in-1 Paste also provides probiotics and prebiotics (for microbiome support), L-glutamine (to aid the cellular health of the GI tract), and electrolytes (to help with hydration), which means this FullBucket formula provides a broader 5-in-1 strategy of support for your horse’s gut.
Does the bioactive clay ingredient adsorb the probiotics before they can provide benefit?
The main probiotic in BioClay 5-in-1 Paste, Saccharomyces cerevisiae boulardii, is a large, complex yeast made up of mannoproteins and glucans. S. boulardii is too large for the direct adsorption mechanisms of the smectite clay in this formula, which binds smaller molecules. In addition, S. boulardii has a slightly negative surface charge, repelling affinity for the negatively-charged clay, while the clay’s adsorption abilities primarily target positively charged toxins and bacteria, which reduces the likelihood of adsorbing S. boulardii. Finally, working in tandem, this S. boulardii strain and the smectite clay help promote a healthy microbiome and beneficial biofilms, which are vital to keeping the gut resilient against stress and pathogens.
