Banisteriopsis Caapi — Muricata Red

Banisteriopsis Caapi is one of the most sacred and widely worked with master plants in the Amazon. Known as the Mother Vine, she is the backbone of Ayahuasca ceremony — though she is a complete and profound medicine entirely in her own right, worked with independently by healers across the Amazon for her own distinct qualities.

There are several varieties of Caapi, each with their own character. Muricata Red — the Red Vine — is the most grounding and physically stabilising of the Caapi varieties. Where the yellow vine tends toward the more visionary and expansive, Muricata Red works with gravity, depth and ancestral strength. It is the variety most associated with emotional resilience, the breaking of deep-seated patterns and the cultivation of inner fortitude during times of serious transition or challenge.

Caapi contains harmala alkaloids — harmine, harmaline and tetrahydroharmine — which are natural MAO-inhibitors. Prepared as a 1:2 glycerine extract — one part plant material to two parts organic vegetable glycerine. Alcohol-free, naturally sweet and suitable for those avoiding alcohol for personal, health or ceremonial reasons. Both plants are wild-harvested and sourced directly from trusted indigenous partners in the Peruvian Amazon. Prepared in small batches by hand with care and respect for both plants and the traditions they come from.

How to Use

5 drops under the tongue twice daily, away from food and drink. Hold briefly before swallowing.
