Tour Carbon Shaft

Crafted with a double-tapered, round-oval-round design and 30T pre-preg carbon laminates, the Tour Carbon shaft delivers maximum stiffness in the lower section for stability while paddling and for transferring maximum power to the blade, and a more flexible top section to minimise shoulder fatigue. Its natural, textured oval grip in the mid-shaft area provides a secure hold without excessive pressure on your hands.

PowerGrip Handle

Co-developed by world champion Arthur Arutkin and Maui waterman Bernd Roediger, the PowerGrip handle features a wider, flatter back to enhance comfort and control over long distances. Customisable Shaft Flex & Paddle Length

Tailored Shaft Stiffness

Black Project offers Tour Carbon shafts in several stiffness ratings, from softer (higher number) to stiffer (lower number). Choose the right flex based on your weight, height, and paddling style. Opt for a softer shaft if you’re near the low end of the recommended weight range, or a stiffer option if you’re toward the high end - ensuring a truly personalised feel and optimal power transfer.

Hot Glue Assembly for Adjustments

Worried about selecting the correct length? Each Hydro SynergyX is assembled with hot glue, making it easy to fine-tune your paddle’s length at home. Simply heat up the handle area, remove it, cut the shaft to your new desired length, and reattach. This convenient feature lets you adapt your paddle to changing boards, race formats, or preferences over time.
