Any bolt that is not stainless, like ours, or titanium, will rust. In some coastal areas this process might take months or even weeks. We highly recommend the use of anti-seize with all of our bolts. The use of anti-seize on the bolt threads adds additional protection so you get the rust-proof benefit of stainless while drastically reducing any chance of corrosion with the non-rust proof parts the stainless comes in contact with. 

**These bolts are more shallow then the stock bolts. The reason we did that is because the stock bolts create a channel where water gets trapped under the bolt head and that in turn causes the hinges to prematurely rust. With our bolts the moisture dries up.**
