Apivar® 2.0 is the latest advancement in varroa mite treatment that has recently received EPA federal registration in the USA. Developed by the dedicated Innovation team at Véto-pharma, this new treatment is the culmination of years of research and valuable customer feedback. It aims to provide effective solutions to the contemporary challenges faced by beekeepers while ensuring the health and longevity of their bee colonies.

Apivar 2.0 features adaptable strip lengths that are compatible with various hive configurations, including but not limited to Langstroth hives. Notably, for Langstroth hive users, a pre-cut line on the strip has been specially added. This thoughtful feature allows you to easily place Apivar 2.0 strips between your brood frames, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility with your existing hive setups.

Treament

Apivar 2.0 is most effective during periods of bee activity in the hive, making it ideal for both spring and fall treatments.

• To apply, place one strip per five frames of bees (FoB) in each brood chamber and leave them in place for 6 to 10 weeks.
• There is no temperature restriction when applying Apivar 2.0 strips!
• NEW! With Apivar 2.0, there’s no withholding period required; you can place your honey supers immediately after removing the treatment strips, streamlining your beekeeping workflow.

Pro tip: For maximum efficacy, scrape strips free of wax and propolis and reposition them in the brood area at mid-treatment. This ensures maximum contact between the bees and the treatment strips.
