The streamlined Super Chief (assigned train Nos. 17 & 18) was the first diesel-powered, all-Pullman sleeping car train in America. The F7-A and B Units were used in the post 1950's lifetime of the train, replacing the externally identical F3 units, and providing improved motive power for what is one of America's most recognizeable and certainly one of the most historically luxurious passenger trains. Operating at 1500 horsepower, it commonly took four F7s (two A and two B units) to pull the name train.
Different number boards are included with the F7A locomotive in order to customize it into one of three different units.Ships within 48 hours · Estimated delivery Sep 4 - Sep 9
