This beautiful antique 9ct gold Trombone/Fetter, mixed link chain dates from the early 1900s. It has a dog clip clasp closure mechanism and feaures a T bar and bolt ring from which pendants, charms, or an extender can be added.

The chain is hallmarked for 9ct Gold on its T-bar, dog clip and bolt clasp. Its is also marked for 9ct gold on all of the trombone links. The makers mark of L W & C is present on its T bar and one of the links.

The 9ct gold of this chain is buttery and smooth with a rosy hue, and it has a gorgeous patina which sparkles brightly as it catches the light. It measures a stunning length of 15 inches and it weighs a comfortable but substantial 21g.

Solid gold belcher chains have been a fashion staple for over a century, and at they are highly sought after. Their versitility means they can be worn alone, in a stack with longer or shorter chains, or attached to its dog clip, with a pendant/charm.
