A lot has happened since the Ripy Brothers opened up a distillery on the slopes of a hill in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, in 1891. For once, it was renamed Wild Turkey after the Prohibition when one of the executives took it on a wild hunting trip and his friends couldn’t shut up about that "delicious Wild Turkey Bourbon". Then, they’ve had some changing of hands as is customary, including the Pernod Ricard acquisition in 1980, and they’re now proudly owned by the Campari Group since 2009. And let’s not forget their current greatest asset – the legendary father-son Master Distiller duo, the literal living legends Jimmy Russel and Eddie Russell – if you put them together, you get more than 100 years’ worth of precious Bourbon-making experience.

The fourth release in their Master’s Keep series, Wild Turkey Master's Keep Cornerstone Rye Whiskey is the first Rye in this collection. It’s also the longest aged and highest proof Rye Wild Turkey has ever made. Crafted from a mash bill of 52% Rye, 36% Corn, and 12% Malted Barley, it clocks in at cask strength of 109 proof. This is a complex Rye with flavors of green apple, cinnamon, oak, and a touch of mint. Plus, it packs just the right amount of heat.
