“All men hate the wretched; how, then, must I be hated, who am miserable beyond all living things! Yet you, my creator, detest and spurn me, thy creature, to whom thou art bound by ties only dissoluble by the annihilation of one of us. You purpose to kill me. How dare you sport thus with life?"

Mary Shelley, Frankenstein

Scent:  Cursed Creator - Essential oil blend of frankincense, pettigrain, and black spruce
Texture: Coated clear

Book Context
While hiking in the Alps, Victor Frankenstein is approached by the creature he abandoned after making him.  Frankenstein is furious at his creation, knowing that he is responsible for the murder of his young brother William.  The creature insists Frankenstein listen to his tale.  In it, he tells of how after learning that the world hates him, and wondering why he was made, he encounters William and kills him in revenge on Victor.  The monster finds a locket on William, and plants it on William's nanny to frame her for the murder. The name for the slime comes directly from the alternate title for the book.

Notes on Scent
I wanted to evoke something dark and otherworldly about this slime, so I used mellow earthiness of frankincense and the bitter brightness of pettigrain; I also incorporated black spruce to evoke the Alps where Frankenstein and the monster have their conversation.

Notes on the Book Cover
The book cover is the original from 1818 - The only change I made was to remove one of the random names on the front and put Mary Shelley's (Slimmey's) on in their place.
