• Gold is not only flashy and fabulous, but the international awareness symbol for Childhood Cancer is the gold ribbon. Unlike other cancer awareness colors, which focus on a singular type of cancer, the gold ribbon is a symbol for all forms of cancer affecting children and adolescents.
• In addition, a yellow ribbon represents sarcoma or bone cancer. There are several types of bone cancer. Sarcoma can affect the bones, or it can affect the connective tissues in the body, such as the cartilage or myofascial tissue.
