The Falcons feather over this journey represents the flight over djandak and the connection to the falcon soaring and freedom. Freedom to be who we need to be. We know when we support each other and give each other strength we can make a difference. I really wanted to connect Djaara culture with the culture of the club and the rainbow meeting places at either end of the journey symbolise that everyone is welcomed and celebrated. The top is a way to unite many of us who walk through life often judged and discriminated against. It is a statement of care and respect.

Kerri’s art serves as a conduit for educating others about Aboriginal culture, embodying the profound bond between humans and the earth, and regularly uses her art practice as a source to start conversations.
Kerri is a proud Dja Dja Wurrung and Bangerang Aboriginal artist. Kerri lives on Djaara Country in Castlemaine. It is her passion and love for her culture that inspires her artworks, using a variety of different styles to reflect her cultural connections and to educate others.
