Krytox produces some of the highest quality lubricants available on the market.
XHT-BDZ has an exceptionally high viscosity, making it particularly well-suited for lubing stabiliser wires - an application where dielectric grease is typically used.
For optimal results, we recommend applying a relatively thick but even coating to the ends of your stabiliser wires, specifically where they make contact with the stabiliser housing. We advise against using this product to lubricate the housings themselves. Due to its high viscosity and tackiness, doing so can cause the stabilisers to feel sluggish and may even prevent them from returning properly. For lubing stabiliser housings, we still recommend Krytox 205g0.
Krytox XHT (Extra High Temperature) lubricants are formulated using DuPont’s proprietary fluoropolymer base oils combined with high-performance thickeners. Like all Krytox lubricants, these products offer exceptional lubrication, are chemically inert, thermally stable, non-flammable, and non-volatile - making them among the most robust lubricants available.
This grease cannot be cleaned with soap and water and is resistant to many solvents. Although chemically stable and non-hazardous, we recommend wearing gloves and using a protective layer (such as drop-plastic) beneath your work surface. Spills can be difficult to clean, and the grease easily transfers from hands to other surfaces. Clean any accidents promptly with a microfiber cloth.
Q: Can I use XHT-BDZ on switch housings?
A: We don’t recommend it due to the high viscosity, which may make switches feel sticky.
