An Arts & Crafts English Oak ‘New Studio’ Oak Dresser by Liberty & Co made in about 1910. A very large and impressive dresser, showing many typical Liberty Arts & Crafts features. . Featuring:

  • Very well figured quarter-sawn English Oak (quarter-sawing is a way of sawing oak to produce boards with superior strength which also reveals decorative 'medullary rays' in its grain.)
  • Original hand made forged brass handles.
  • Upper section with two leaded glazed doors and two leaded glazed side panels.
  • Single long drawer (made with single plank fronts solid drawer carcasses joined with hand-cut lap and through dovetails and solid bases) over two cupboard doors.
  • Single right hand cupboard door with single shelf behind.

Approximate dimensions are:

  • Overall Height 1940mm (6 feet 4 1/4 inches)
  • Overall Width 2455mm (8 feet and 1/2 of an inch)
