Designed by Jaime Hayon in 2015, Formakami JH5 by &Tradition brings Scandinavian design into dialogue with traditional Asian lantern forms, resulting in a sculptural lighting piece grounded in Danish design and mid-century design influences. The design reflects Scandinavian design through its soft geometry, lightweight presence, and emphasis on atmospheric illumination.

Formakami JH5 features a handcrafted ivory rice paper shade paired with black-stained oak accents, creating contrast that reinforces its Scandinavian design identity. The open-bottom structure enhances light output while maintaining the calm, balanced expression associated with Danish modern and mid-century design traditions.
