CARE:

• Does well with a combination of low to bright, indirect light. Some direct gentle morning sun can be beneficial but avoid prolong exposure to direct sunlight, which can fade, wilt, or scorch the leaves.
• Keep the soil slightly moist but never soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Use room-temperature, distilled water if possible.
• Thrives in moderate to high humidity settings. 
• Keep in a warm environment (minimum of 18 degrees Celsius). Protect from cold drafts or sudden temperature drops.

Calathea originate from tropical rainforests and can often be seen growing around the base of trees. That said, for its long term health, these plants require a well-draining potting media that can still retain moisture but not become waterlogged. 

*Calatheas do very well in bathrooms (with a window) or closed terrariums. 

*Crispy leaves are commonly caused by lack of humidity, water quality or both
