This is a vintage 1960 edition of the Bluejackets Manual, issued by the U.S. Naval Institute in Annapolis, Maryland. This guide served as a comprehensive manual for sailors in the United States Navy, detailing everything from naval customs to practical training. It was regularly updated after World War II to reflect the evolving needs of the Navy, with information added and removed as needed for each new edition.  

This particular edition includes the owner's name inside, as these manuals were given to sailors when they mustered into boot camp and kept as a reference throughout their careers.  

The manual shows some wear consistent with its age, adding to its vintage charm, but is still in good condition overall.
