End of Life: Your kooshoo hair ties can go in your home compost bin or be returned to us to go in ours!

Kooshoo has not had their products certified compostable, therefor they should not be added to municipal bins. However the plastic-free hair ties and are made entirely of plant-based materials (predominantly organic cotton) and do break down in nature fairly quickly! They have tested them in their own home compost bins and found that when they are chopped into small pieces they've completely broken down within six months. We have seen similar results in our own tests.
