Tasting Note

A brilliant soft red with beautifully gleaming reflections. The nose offers deliciously crunchy notes of fresh raspberry, apricot, and mango, evolving towards laurel, black pepper, and fresh mint. The clean, clear-cut palate with its discreet tannins and light, supple texture first reveals wild strawberry, blackcurrant, dried fruit, and fresh almond before gaining in amplitude to finish on thyme flowers, star anise and superb mineral notes.

A highly commended grower-négociant based just outside Carcassonne specialising in authentic, terroir driven wines from the Languedoc. Their ever expanding portfolio of wines encompasses classic gems in their Cuvées Rares range like Pézenas as well as varietal, Terroir, Cru and Domaine ranges plus the quirky Ams Tram Gram wines. The entire estate is farmed organically.

Calmel & Joseph use lighter glass bottles for 90% of their wines and the Amstragram range is capsule free.
