With limbs like classical finger dancers, the gums twist this way and that, to the rhythm of an icy breeze, they dip low, then stretch high, spreading limbs side to side. I'm perched high in the snowy mountains and shrinking against the cold. How do they thrive in these harsh conditions? I realize it can be likened to life, 'Build character in the face of adversity, forever will the conditions be challenging', the snow gums lean forward and sing, 'Gum Dance with Me'.
