The PPE Forged XR Tie Rods are an ultra-heavy-duty steering upgrade engineered for GM 2500/3500 HD trucks. These units are designed to address a critical weak point in the factory steering geometry, where OEM tie rods are prone to bending or snapping under high-torque loads, particularly during 4WD launches or off-road operation. By replacing the undersized factory units with forged 1045 steel assemblies, the XR series provides the structural integrity required to maintain precise wheel alignment and steering control in demanding environments.

Each tie rod assembly features significantly larger internal components, including massive ball joints and thick-walled bars that distribute mechanical stress more effectively than stock components. This robust architecture not only improves steering feel but also protects other front-end components from the secondary damage often caused by steering flex and "toe-in" during hard acceleration.
